A native of Westmoreland County, Pa., Ms. Fagan was a daughter of Margaret F. McCrobie, Athens, and the late James Foster Burnworth Sr. She was a retail clerk for Clinkoco Convenience Stores and was of the Baptist faith. She resided in Athens for the past 15 years. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Bridges Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tony Lee officiating. Survivors, in addition to her mother, include four brothers, James Foster Burnworth Jr., Colbert, Timothy Fagan, Roger Andrew McCrobie, and Adam Lee McCrobie, all of Athens; three sisters, Kandie Jo McCrobie, Kristin McCrobie, and Megan McCrobie, all of Athens; a niece, Brittany Marie Burnworth; and a nephew, Brandon W. Fagan, Athens. The family is at the residence of her mother, 200 Parkview Extension., Athens. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Edith Benton Franks Commerce Edith Benton Franks, 93, of 216 Homer St., died Sunday, June 27, 1999. A native of Jackson County, Mrs. Franks was a daughter of the late Theo and Mary Sanders Benton, and was the widow of Hubert H. Franks. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Commerce. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, with the Rev. Fred Heard officiating. Burial will be in Grey Hill Cemetery, Commerce. Survivors include a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive visitors from 1-2:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Jewel G. Glisson Watkinsville Jewel G. Glisson, 76, of 1101 Latham Drive, died Sunday, June 27, 1999. A native of Colquitt County, Mrs. Glisson was a daughter of the late Phillip and Melinda Tumlin Goff. She resided in Watkinsville for three years after moving from Athens, and was a homemaker. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Oconee Memorial Park, with the Rev. Richard Hoard officiating. Survivors include her husband, Jessie E. Glisson; two daughters, Mary Wildes, Hull, and Charlotte Davis, Flowery Branch; two sons, John Glisson, Watkinsville, and Edmon Glisson, Roxboro, N.C.; a sister, Geraldine Laird, Ft. Worth, Tex.; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m. Tuesday at Arthur Bowick's Oconee Chapel, Watkinsville. Ruth Fields Kelly Elberton Ruth Fields Kelly, 84, of 245 Gordon St., died Saturday, June 26, 1999. A native of Elbert County, Mrs. Fields was a daughter of the late James and Emma Mabrey Fields, and was the widow of Gordon Kelly. She was a homemaker and a member of the Francis Asbury United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Norman Kelly. Services will be later this week at Forest Hills Memorial Park, with the Rev. Jim Spooner officiating. Survivors include a daughter, Betty K. Beri, Elberton; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. The family is at her residence, and will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. tonight at Hicks Funeral Home, Elberton. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Joe E. Kirby Seneca, S.C. Joe E. Kirby, 73, died Saturday, June 26, 1999 at his home in Seneca, S.C. He retired from the Higher Educational System of West Virginia after 17 years as a professor and administrator with the College of Graduate Studies in Charleston, W.Va. During his earlier career he taught in the public schools in Georgia and Alabama, and was elected Superintendent of Schools in Barrow County, Ga. He was a naval torpedoman 2nd class during World War II. A native of Marshall County, Ala., he is survived by his wife, Jonell Hemphill Kirby; a sister, Nell Kirby; children, Sylvia Jo Hays, Athens, Gloria Noah, College Station, Tex., Joe David Kirby, Durham, N.C., Cindy Price, Douglasville, Susan Kirby, Dunwoody, Donna Culpepper, Irondale, Ala.; a foster son, Ray Folds; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He is the son of the late Leo and Ada Berry Kirby and is preceded in death by his brother, Elmo Kirby. A graduate of Albertville High School, he studied at Peabody College where he earned a B.S. in Science and an M.A. in School Administration. He earned an Ed.S. at the University of Georgia and received an Ed.D. in School/Public Administration at West Virginia University. As a avocation, he build homes, furniture, and garden art. After retirement, he became an avid gardener and innovator in energy conservation. He and his wife authored a book, many articles, consulted worldwide and developed educational programs funded by various agencies. Funeral services will be held at the Brown-Oglesby Funeral Home in Seneca, S.C., today, June 28, at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Old Stone Church Cemetery following the service. Delia Mae Mobley Statham Delia Mae Mobley, 91, died Saturday, June 26, 1999. Mrs. Mobley was a daughter of the late Robert and Fannie Mae Pruitt, and was the widow of Curtis Mobley. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by a son, James E. Mobley. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Smith Funeral Home, Winder, with the Revs. Bud McDonald and Michael Chaney officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Church Cemetery. A native of Hart County, Mrs. Mouchet was a daughter of the late Frank and Olla Adams Martin, and was the widow of William "Flip" Mouchet. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Wyonia Mouchet Waldrop, and a grandson, Leslie Waldrop. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Hart County, with the Rev. John Forbes officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia M. Moorhead, Hartwell; a sister, Dallas M. Carolyn Pritchett Tomlin Cleveland Carolyn Pritchett Tomlin, 46, died Saturday, June 26, 1999. A native of Habersham County, Mrs. Tomlin was a daughter of the late Andrew and Cleo Fair Pritchett, and was the widow of Thomas Carroll Tomlin. She attended Bethesda Fellowship Congregational Holiness Church and worked at Unicoi State Park. She was preceded in death by a son, Chris Tomlin. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Bethesda Fellowship Congregational Holiness Church, Cornelia, with the Revs. Julia Rautenburg and J. Clarnece Reynolds officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Chattahoochee Baptist Church Cemetery, Cleveland. Survivors include a daughter, Rita P. West, 72, of 1111 Sutton Way, died Saturday, June 26, 1999. A native of Elbert County, Mr. West was a son of the late Rev. James C. West Sr. and Mary Lorene Smith West. He was the retired owner/operator of Elberton Amoco Service Station, a member of the First Baptist Church, and a member of the Victory Sunday school class. He was a veteran of World War II, and was a part-time employee of Berry Funeral Home, Elberton. Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Berry Funeral Home, with the Rev. C.E. Jackson III officiating. Burial will be in the Elmhurst Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Betty Pulliam West; a daughter and son-in-law, Lorraine W. Robinson and Hugh Robinson, Waynesboro; a son and daughter-in-law, James K. and Myra West, Winder; three sisters, Martha W. Looney and Margaret W. Combs, both of Atlanta, and Ethel W.
