A native of Panama City, Mrs. Samuel was a daughter of Muriel Nesfield and the late Felix Lloyd. She was a homemaker and was a member of Church of the Mediator, Washington. Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Church of the Mediator with John Via officiating. The body will be placed in the church at noon. Burial will be in City West End Cemetery. A native of Screven County, Mr. Mims was a son of the late Frank and Sarah Groves Mims and was the widower of Mary Manning Mims. He attended Oglethorpe University and was retired after 40 years of service from Coggins Granite Industries, where he was president and sales manager. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having served as a Master Sergeant in the European Theatre of Operations, and having received the Bronze Star. He was a member of Elberton First United Methodist Church. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Hicks Funeral Home with Dr. Wallace Wheeles and the Rev. Jack Bozeman officiating.
