A native of Beaver Dam, Miss., Mr. Donovan was a son of the late Robert E. and Mary Sue Wilson Donovan. He was a graduate of Chamberlain Hunt Academy, Indianola, Miss. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and was stationed at Pearl Harbor at the time of the attack. He was a mechanical engineer, having been affiliated with the Weiler Engineering Co., and was the designer of many machines used in manufacturing.
