A native of Elbert County, Mr. Brown was a son of Cariene Scoggins Brown of Elberton and the late John Emory Brown. He was preceded in death by a son, Dwayne Brown. He was owner and operator of K & R Granite Sales and was of the Baptist faith. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Berry Funeral Home with the Rev. J.T. Willoughby officiating. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Joyce Jordan Brown; two sons, Kevin Brown, Elberton, and Rex Brown, Calhoun; four sisters, Gereldine Smith, Bowman, Rebecca Johnson, Elberton, Deborah Bell, Comer, and Linda Pless, Dewy Rose; a brother, Milford Brown, Dewy Rose; and three grandchildren. Tom Ed Cobb Toccoa Tom Ed Cobb, 80, of 707 Pond St. died Wednesday, April 28, 1999. A native of Franklin County, Mr. Cobb was a son of the late Charles Tillman and Ella Childs Cobb. He was a car salesman and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was of the Baptist faith. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Whitlock Mortuary with the Rev. Jarrett Ragan officiating. Burial will be in Stephens Memorial Gardens. Survivors include his wife, Sarah Dooley Cobb; two daughters, Virginia "Ginger" Cobb, Alpharetta, and Marie Spearman, Dunwoody; a son, Richard Cobb, Toccoa; two sisters, a brother; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Head Watkinsville Horrison Allen Head, 82, of 2891 Monroe Highway died Monday, April 26, 1999. A native of Oconee County, Mr. Head was a son of the late Paul and Ora Head. He was a retired truck driver and was a member of New Covenant Worship Center. Services were Wednesday at Ray's United Methodist Church with the Rev. Howard Conine officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Gladys Meeler Head; a son, Jim Head, Athens; three stepsons, Lee Burrell, Watkinsville, Bill Burrell, Atlanta, and Milton Burrell, Danielsville; four stepdaughters, Betty Williams and Faye Davidson, both of Watkinsville, Mary Savage, Athens, and Lillie Dawson, Bishop; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. He was a 1997 Honor Graduate of Athens Academy and was currently on the Dean's List in his junior year at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church and was preceded in death by a brother, Christopher Scott Kelley. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at St. James United Methodist Church with the Revs. Kent Reynolds and Terry Mercer officiating. Internment will be at Oconee Hill Cemetery.
