A native of Oglethorpe County, Mr. Barnett was a son of the late Arthur Bolten and Eula Mae Hancock Barnett, and was the widower of Lorene Wages Barnett. He had lived in this area for most of his life and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. today at Evergreen Memorial Park with the Rev. Albert Askew officiating. Survivors include a son, Randall Barnett, Bogart; a sister, Ann Claxton, Tolberton; a grandson; and several nieces and nephews. Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, West, is in charge of the arrangements. Linda Maddox Hoschton Linda Elaine Barrett Maddox, 53, died Thursday, May 27, 1999. A native of Alabama, Mrs. Maddox was the owner of a trading post/flea market and a member of Sharon Baptist Church. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. today at the Carter Funeral Home, Winder, with the Revs. Bobby Brown and Marion Prather officiating. Burial will be in Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery, Hoschton. Survivors include two sons, John Paul Maddox, Hoschton, and Mark Lanier Maddox, Jasper; two brothers, Kenneth Barrett and Morris Barrett, both of Kennesaw; a sister, Polly Lunceford, Kennesaw; a granddaughter; and nieces and nephews. Sandy Seymour Faulkner Commerce Sandy Seymour Faulkner, 80, of 632 Old Bold Spring School Road, died Friday, May 28, 1999. A native of Jackson County, Mr. Seymour was a son of the late Patrick S. and Essie Porter Faulkner. He was a retired Railway Express agent and a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church. He was a Mason and a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II. Services will be at 3:00 p.m. today at Mount Olive Baptist Church, Commerce, with the Revs. Brad Wilson and Jimmy Barry officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include two brothers, A.E. "Rusty" Faulkner, Commerce, and M.S. Faulkner, Snellville; a sister, Florence Voyles, Commerce; and a number of nieces and nephews. The family is at the residence. Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of the arrangements. Pat Gabriel Winterville Claud Patrick Gabriel, 74, of 581 Smithonia Road, died Friday, May 28, 1999. A native of Oglethorpe County, Mr. Gabriel was a son of the late Julius Melton and Amanda Mozelle Tucker Gabriel. He was retired from Georgia Power Company as line supervisor for the Athens District with 41 years of service. He was a member of Georgia Power Ambassadors and Hull Baptist Church, and was a Navy veteran of World War II. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. today at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East, with the Rev. Randy Crowe officiating. Burial will be in Winterville Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Edith Gabriel; a daughter, Donna Gabriel, Atlanta; two sons, Mike Gabriel, Winterville, and Marvin Fountain, Alaska; five sisters, Thelma Gooch, Winterville, Sybil Gooch and Betty Tiller, both of Athens, Dot Busbin and Jean Pattinson, both of Colbert; six brothers, J.M. Gabriel Jr. and Garnett Gabriel, both of Winterville, Bob Gabriel, Danielsville, Donald Gabriel, Washington, Harry Gabriel and Larry Gabriel, both of Colbert; five grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Alice Slay Schroeder Washington Alice Slay Schroeder, 93, of 121-A Garland Ave., died Saturday, May 29, 1999. A native of Oglethorpe County, Mrs. Schroeder was a daughter of the late Sam and Tommie Tiller Slay, and was the widow of Henry Schroeder. She lived most of her life in Wilkes County, was a homemaker and a member of Washington Chapel. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Hopkins Funeral Home, Washington, with Peter Hoffman officiating. Burial will be in the Tignall Baptist Cemetery, Tignall. Survivors include two daughters, Frances Schroeder, Washington, and Catherine S. Nance, Stone Mountain; two grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and a great-grandson. Carrie Wallace Toccoa Carrie Spain Wallace, 75, of 407 W. Doyle St., died Friday, May 28, 1999. A native of Greenbriar, Tenn., Mrs. Wallace was a daughter of the late James Archie and Vallie May Gober Spain, and was the widow of Nugent Lee Wallace. She lived most of her life in Dallas, Tex., moving to Toccoa in 1982. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Memorial services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Trinity Lutheran Church, Toccoa, with the Rev. Greg Walton officiating. Survivors include two daughters, Sherry Wallace, Toccoa, and Rebecca Koch, Dallas, Tex.; a son, Bob Wallace, Toccoa; a sister, Patricia St. Lawrence, Hendersonville, Tenn.; a brother, Archie Spain, Hendersonville, Tenn.; ten grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. Youngblood Toccoa Donald Edgar Youngblood, 56, of 313 Collins Road, died Friday May 28, 1999 A native of Habersham County, Mr. Youngblood was a son of the late Edgar and Dora Shubert Youngblood. He had resided in Toccoa for the past 10 years, was a U.S. Army veteran, and was of the Holiness faith. Services will be at 3:00 p.m. today at the Toccoa City Cemetery with the Rev. Buddy Mason officiating. Survivors include four brothers, Clifford Youngblood and Kenneth Youngblood, both of Toccoa, James Youngblood, Alto, and David Rex Youngblood, Watkinsville; and three sisters, Jane Pruitt, Toccoa, Sarah Moore, Lula, and Darlene Gleaton, Ellenwood.
