A native of Clarke County, Mr. Dobbs was a son of the late Willis Frank and Ellen Ione Smith Dobbs. He graduated from the University of Georgia School of Pharmacy and was a professor there until his retirement in 1980, received the Outstanding Teacher Award while at UGA, was connected to the Village Pharmacy for a number of years, was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and a member of St. James United Methodist Church. Services will be 2 p.m. today at Bridges Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kent Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in Oconee Hill Cemetery. Dr. Herschel Harris Watkinsville Dr. Herschel Billups Harris, 92, died Friday, Jan. 29, 1999. A native of Oconee County, Dr. Harris was a son of the late Herschel Billups Harris Sr. and Grace Durham Harris and widower of Marguerite Kolb Harris. He was the oldest living graduate of the Medical College of Georgia, served as Chief of Staff at St. Mary's Hospital for a number of years, was named Physician of the Year by the American Heart Association in Feb. 1998, was a founding father of the Athens Country Club, and a steward of First United Methodist Church, Athens. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Bill Britt and Grady Wigley officiating. Burial will be in Watkinsville Cemetery. Survivors include: four daughters, Nancy Kiser, Watkinsville, Connie Callahan, Helen, Mary Toole, Palmetto, and Missy Hill, Athens; and 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A native of Habersham County, Mr. Loudermilk was a son of the late Clarence and Mandy Cash Loudermilk and widower of Wanda Neal Loudermilk. He was a member of Camp Creek Baptist Church. Massey Toccoa Frances Mattox Massey of 325 Orlando Drive, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999. A native of Folkston, Mrs. Massey was a daughter of the late Abe and LaDelle Black Mattox. He was retired from Roper Pump and was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.
