Mrs. Hill was a daughter of the late Joseph Samuel and Nancy Jane Duck Baird, and was the widow of James S. Hill Sr. She was retired from Carwood Manufacturing and was a member of Chapel Christian Church. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Ferguson officiating. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. Survivors include a daughter, Joy H. Miller, Statham; three sons, James S. Hill, Snellville, Howard L. Hill, Redington Shores, Fla., and William J. ''Bill'' Hill, Gray; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Mr. Abercrombie was a son of Ruby Smith, Midland, Ga. He received a bachelor's degree from West Georgia College and served in county government administration in White County, City of Riverdale, Douglas County and Carroll County. He was a life-long member and former lieutenant governor of Kiwanis International, was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and attended Tabernacle Baptist Church in Carrollton. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Bernstein Funeral Home. Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife, Marie Bahnsen Abercrombie; two daughters, Suzanne Feinstein, Boston, and Donna Jones, Kansas City, Mo.; and a son, Jeffrey Abercrombie, Seattle.
