Mrs. Smith was a daughter of the late Robert Clay and Mary Emma Stapleton Freeny and was the widow of Curtis D. Smith. She was a retired nurse and was a member of Atlanta Road Church of Christ, Gainesville. Services will be at 6 p.m. today at Carter Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeremy Houck officiating. A native of Fulton County, Mr. Housholder was a son of Margaret S. Housholder, Clearwater, Fla., and the late Donald Marcum Housholder. He was a graduate of Druid Hills High School and the University of Georgia Pharmacy School and held a masters degree in computer science. He was with Emory University Hospital Pharmacy for 20 years and for the past three years with the Kroger Atlanta Highway pharmacy. He attended Chapelwood United Methodist Church. McManus Jr., 75, died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2000. A native of Birmingham, Ala., Mr. McManus was a son of Helen Harrison McManus, Atlanta. He retired from Georgia Power in 1986 as vice president of power delivery. He was a 1946 graduate of the University of Texas under the Navy V12 program and received a degree in electrical engineering. He did postgraduate work at Georgia tech. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Toccoa First United Methodist Church, Toccoa Elk Lodge, VFW Post 4346 and Georgia Power Ambassador Club. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at H.M. Patterson and Son Spring Hill Chapel, Atlanta with pastors Jim Bocian, Jack Lamb and Danny Britt officiating. OBITUARIES Story last updated at 10:10 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1, 2000 Teena Jo Evans Mountain Home, Idaho Teena Jo Evans, 43, of Mountain Home, died Saturday, October 28, 2000, at her residence. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 2nd at Summers Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, Mountain Home. Teena was born Sept. 3, 1957, in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Robert Eugene and JoAnn (Woodson) Thompson. The family moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where Teena attended school and graduated from Camel Back High School. After Graduation in 1975, she joined the U.S. Air Force. Teena was a Supply Systems Specialist and was on active duty for two and a half years. On May 29, 1977, she married Ronald Evans in Benton, Louisiana. A daughter Brandy Michelle was born Feb. 24, 1979. They traveled throughout the world. In Hahn, Germany she was an EMT for the American Red Cross. Teena attended nursing school in Conway, South Carolina and received a degree as a Licensed Practical Nuse in 1989. Teena worked at the Surfside Beach Medical Clinic in South Carolina. In June of 1992, they arrived in Mountain home. Teena worked for the Elmore Medical Center, Primary Health, Dr. Koelsch and Dr. Wells Clinic. Teena, a devoted daughter, wife, mother, friend and nurse, enjoyed being in the outdoors, camping and being with nature. Teena's favorite place to be was Stanley Lake, Idaho where she was closest to God and nature. She enjoyed her family and helping others. Teena was registered with the Idaho and National Boards of Nursing. Teena is survived by her husband, Ronald Evans of Mountain Home, daughter Brandy Sharpe and husband Eric of Morehead City, North Carolina, parents, Robert and Merilee Thompson of Scottsdale, Arizona, sisters: Lisa Velliquette of El Paso, Texas and Karra Hathaway of Blytheville, Arkansas; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and the Evans family. William Truett Moss, age 68, of Hodges Gap Road, Boone, formerly of Athens, Georgia, died Wednesday, November 1, at Watauga Medical Center. Bill Moss was born January 11, 1932 in Brunswick, Georgia, the son of the late Reverend Charles Hill Moss and Maude Hawthorne Moss. Dr. Moss taught forestry at the University of Georgia from 1960 until 1970, and taught in the Psychology department at Appalachian State University from 1970 until 1996. He is survived by daughters Trudy Gay Moss and Lynn Moss Sanders, a son-in-law, Jim Sanders, and three grandchildren, Laurel, Zeb, and Jordan Sanders, all of Boone. He is also survived by one brother, Paul Judson Moss, of Rome, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Ann Stone Moss (1933-1974), and a daughter, Jennifer Ann Moss (1959-1979). Memorial services for Dr. William Truett Moss will be conducted Friday evening at 7 o'clock at the Austin and Barnes Funeral Home Chapel. Officiated by the Rev. Fred D. Barnes.
