LaClaire Brown of Mary Esther, Fla., passed away Thursday, August 3, 2000, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Pensacola. LaClaire was born February 4, 1934, in Athens, Georgia, daughter of the late Loyd and Stella Bullock. After graduating from Athens High School, she attended the University of Georgia before becoming a flight attendant for American Airlines. In 1959 she married Lt. Bill Brown (USAF) of Munday, Texas. She was a devoted wife and mother. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Bill (Ret. Col.); daughter, Allison Brown-Corson and her husband Jim; and grandchildren, Sean, Jordyn and Alex of Omaha, Neb.; daughter, Shannon Brown of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; stepdaughter, Shelley Green and her husband Douglas; grandchildren, Eric and Jenna, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; stepson, Joe Lex Brown and his wife Dorey of Hobbs, N.M.; sisters, Janice Bullock Lee and husband Raleigh of Atlanta, Ga., Rose McIntyre of Atlanta, Ga.; brothers, George Bullock and his wife Linda of Athens, Ga., and Billy Joe Bullock of Houston, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. She will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends coast to coast. She enjoyed cooking, entertaining and rooting for the University of Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves.
