OBITUARIES Story last updated at 11:07 p.m. on Tuesday, December 5, 2000 John Christopher Werk Atlanta Chris Werk of Atlanta, Georgia, currently living in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, age 24, died suddenly Saturday, December 2, 2000 in a snowmobile accident. Born on January 14, 1976 in Atlanta, GA. He graduated from Woodward Academy in 1994 as a letterman athlete. An avid outdoor enthusiast, Chris reached his long time goal and attained his Eagle Scout Rank prior to enrolling in the University of Georgia. He graduated with a degree in Finance from the Terry College of Business in December of 1999. Kayaking was his love as he was an active member of the American Whitewater Association and enjoyed participating in professional competition. He had recently earned his certification to become a whitewater kayak instructor for all levels. The mountains and snow of Jackson Hole enticed him to the ski slopes during the winter months, where he was an ''extreme'' skier. He was a member of Peachtree Presbyterian Church in Atlanta and was active in many family business ventures including Coastal Sleeve Label, Inc. of Brunswick, GA and Trans Link Motor Express, Inc., headquartered in Albany, GA. He is survived by his devoted girlfriend Jodi Dekle of Athens, GA, and his beloved dog, Etta; his mother, Missie Pierce and stepfather Bill Pierce, of Atlanta, GA; father, Charles K.
