A native of Franklin County, Mrs. Phillips was a daughter of the late Albert T. and Holly Berry Argo Fowler and was the widow of John Henry Phillips. She was preceded in death by a son, Ernest Lee Phillips. She was a homemaker and was a member of New Hope Congregational Holiness Church, where she served as secretary of the Sunday school, was a musician and was active in the Women's Ministry. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Hope Congregational Holiness Church with the Revs. Dennis Kesler, Larry Phillips and Jonathan Randall officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
