Lunceford Crawfordville Owens V. Lunceford, 87, died Thursday, Sept. 7, 2000. A native of Taliaferro County, Mr. Lunceford was a son of the late Overton Lunceford and Clara Cannon and was the widower of Myra Griffeth Lunceford. He was retired as owner and operator of Lunceford's Grocery and Department Store. He was a member of Crawfordville Baptist Church, where he was a deacon for 60 years and was honored with Deacon Emeritus last year. He was Sunday school director and training union director for a number of years. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Crawfordville Baptist Church with the Rev. John Autry and Dr. Jimmy Waters officiating. Burial will be in Crawfordville Cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Griffith, Crawfordville; a sister, Mabel Fouche, Washington; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. A native of Athens, Mrs. Henderson was the widow of Thomas Harmon Jackson, William J. Cozens and the Rev. Samuel Henderson. She was a columnist for the Gainesville Sun and a writer whose works were published in many magazines. She was a host for a Sunday morning radio show on WLUS and authored several books. She served as director of the United Fund in Tampa, executive director of the Gulf Coast Chapter for the Multiple Sclerosis Society and established the first Little Theater in New Smyrna Beach, Fla. She was past vice president of the National League of American Pen Women, past chairman of the Gainesville Woman's Club Creative Writing and Drama Group and was an honorary member of the Pilots' Club of Gainesville. She was past state president of American Women in Radio and Television. She appeared on Gary Moore's ''What's My Line?'' and was a member of Gainesville First Baptist Church. Services were held in Florida.
