Mr. Jones was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was owner/operator of 5 Points Grocery in Winterville for 21 years. Funeral services will be Monday, December 11, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. at Lord & Stephens Chapel, East, with Rev. Eugene Pritchett officiating. Interment will be in Grove Chapel Cemetery. A native of Clarke County, Howard was the son of the late Harry C. and Ollie B. Moseman. Howard was a longtime member of Young Harris United Methodist Church and a member of the Butler Bell Bible Sunday School Class. He was a veteran of World War II, a member of the Mount Vernon Masonic Lodge #22 and a member of the V.F.W. Post 2872. He was a loving, devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Blake. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Lorene C. Moseman; two daughters and sons-in-law, Patsy and Tom Songer, and Sandra and Roger Sullivan; three grandchildren, Angie Eades, Trey Seagraves and Paige Meyer; three great-grandchildren, Austin and Brice Eades and Davis Meyer. He is also survived by a brother, Harry C. Moseman, a sister, Betty M. Lunceford, and a number of nieces and nephews.
