A native of Stephens County, Mr. Nunnally was a son of Howard and Maxine Carlan Nunnally, Martin, and was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Barry Nunnally. He was a former employee of Gilbert & Bennett and was employed with Nunnally's Body Shop. He was a life-long resident of Stephens County and was of the Baptist faith. Services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Whitlock Mortuary, Toccoa, with Dr. Wayne Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Confidence United Methodist Church cemetery with the Rev. Roy Bainey officiating. Survivors in addition to his parents include his wife, Crystal Dodd Nunnally; a daughter, Raven Nunnally, Martin; a son, Max Nunnally, Martin; two sisters, Sandra Nunnally Oliver, Martin, and Linda Nunnally Howard, Toccoa; a brother, Jerry Howard Nunnally, Martin; nieces and nephews. Grant Road, died Saturday, July 8, 2000. A native of White County, Mr. Gerrell was a son of the late John and Anner Nelms Gerrell, and was the widower of Odell Meeler Gerrell. He was a 1942 graduate of Baldwin High School, was retired from Schnadig Corporation and was of the Baptist faith. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Whitfield Funeral Home, Demorest, with the Rev. Gene Batson officiating. Burial will be in Yonah Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Hal Cason officiating. She was employed with Ghelston-Burroughs Ford, was an office nurse and a deputy probate judge for Madison County. She was a member of Danielsville United Methodist Church. Mrs. Fields was a daughter of Dillard Lumpkin and Rosa Sherrer Lumpkin, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were three sisters: Losie Smith, Elizabeth Hope and Eldora Mobley; and two brothers: Columbus Cofer and Hosea Cofer. OBITUARIES Story last updated at 10:31 p.m. on Sunday, July 9, 2000 Ira S. Cobb Athens Mr. Ira S. Cobb, of 474 Boulevard, died July 8, 2000, after several months of deteriorating health. Mr. Cobb, a bachelor, was born on November 22, 1930, and was preceded in death by his father, I. Quillian Cobb, a member of the Athens Fire Department, who died as a result of injuries received in the line of duty in 1933; his step-father, Captain Lewis Garvin, a member of the Athens Police Department; and his mother, Lena Shurley Cobb Garvin, with whom he resided and cared for until her death in 1991. Mr. Cobb was educated in Athens Public School, graduated from the University of Georgia and the Julliard School of Music in New York City. After serving as a member of the U.S. Army in Korea, Mr. Cobb returned to Athens where he taught piano for many years at his studio on Boulevard. Mr. Cobb is survived by a number of out-of-state cousins, friends and a special neighbor, Carolyn Reynolds. Graveside services will be held at Oconee Hill Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 10, 2000, with the Rev. Howard Greer, the associate pastor of Prince Avenue Baptist Church, officiating. Mr. Cobb was a member of Prince Avenue Baptist Church. Family will receive friends after the service at the cemetery.
