A native and lifelong resident of Madison County, Mr. Brown was a son of the late R.D. and Emma Howard Brown. He was a 20-year employee of Oliver Rubber and a member of New Grove Baptist Church. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Holly Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Ronnie Gantt officiating. She was retired from Elberton Motor Supply and was a homemaker. A native of Florence, Ala., Mr. McCullough was a son of the late L.G. and Josephine McCullough Sr. He was a graduate of Coffee High School, Georgia Military College and Wofford College, and was an Air Force veteran. He was a basketball coach at Spartanburg High School, S.C., and served as coach at Wofford, Wyoming, Indiana, Iowa State and Ohio State, in addition to a 12-year stint as director of athletics at Iowa State University. He was a member of the American Football Coaches Association, University Commissioners Association and the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics, and was awarded the Hall of Fame award from the National Football Association. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Evergreen Memorial Park with the Rev. Glenn Doak officiating. She was also a member of the DAV Auxiliary and the B.E.A.R. Club. She was predeceased by her husband, Judson V. Malcolm Sr., and a grandson, Andy Eberhart.
