A native and lifelong resident of Madison County, Mrs. Patton was a daughter of the late John Glen and Carrie Holcomb Brown, and was the widow of Dewey W. Patton. She was retired from the Big Ace Corporation and was a Sunday School teacher for 40 years. She was a member of the Homemaker Sunday School Class of Hull Baptist Church. Services will be at 4 p.m. today at Hull Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Crowe officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 3 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Helen L. Black, Warner Robins; a son, Herman C. Patton, Hull; two sisters, Frances Bond and Lois Aiken both of Hull; a brother, Coile F. He was retired from the Hart County Sheriff's Office as jailor, and was of the Baptist faith.
