She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Athens, where she served in many various capacities. She was a Founding Member of the Altar Guild and served as the President since its formation 28 years ago. She was an active member of the Bobbin Mill Garden Club, Wood Lake Association, the Roadrunners of Athens and the Monday-Thursday Bridge Club.
