He was the owner/operator of Phillips Auto Repair Shop, was an Air Force veteran and was of the Baptist faith. ''Red'' Forrester, 80, of 295 Ginn St., died Saturday, March 11, 2000. A native of Franklin County, Mr. Forrester was a son of the late John H. and Margaret Rogers Forrester. He was a farmer, a World War II Army veteran, and was the police chief of Carnesville from 1963 to 1973. He was of the Baptist faith. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. OBITUARIES Story last updated at 7:56 a.m. on Monday, March 13, 2000 Anne Holloman Vesta Community Anne Howard Holloman, 65, died March 12, 2000. She lived in the Vesta Community of Oglethorpe County. Mrs. Holloman was the wife of the late John Carlin Holloman and the daughter of the late Grady Howard and Ruth Huff Howard. She was a longtime member of Vesta Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School Superintendent. She was a Sunday School Teacher, served on Church Building Committee and was a member of the WMU. Mrs. Holloman was a retired Middle School science teacher where she taught for 30 years in Oglethorpe County. After retirement, she worked with Drake Gas Co. for eight years. Mrs. Holloman was a member of the Georgia Retired Educators Association and a member of Historic Oglethorpe. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 14, 2000 at 4:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East. Committal service will follow at Clark Cemetery, Lexington. Survivors include her son, Bill Holloman, a daughter in love, Sonia Holloman, and a granddaughter, Alanna, and grandson, Evan. Flowers will be accepted as well as memorials to Vesta Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
