A native of Greene County, Mrs. Price was a daughter of the late Henry and Carrie Curry and was the widow of Sam Price. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, where she served on the Mother's Board and was a member of the Senior Choir. She was retired from Harrison Poultry after several years. Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church with the Revs. Anthony J. Bryant, Roswell Lawrence and Eric Calhoun officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Muszetta Brown, Union Point; a son, Calvin Price, Union Point; a sister, Edna Curry, Chicago; two brothers, John Curry, Milledgeville, and William H. Curry, Union Point; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was a graduate of Piedmont College, Demorest, and the University of Georgia. She was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church, where she was church secretary, treasurer and chairperson of the board. She was a member of United Daughters of the Confederacy Chapter 1216, Carnesville Women's Club and Franklin County Historical Society. Mrs. Carper was a school teacher in the Franklin County school system and was retired from the freight accounting department of Southern Railway, Atlanta. Mr. Daniel was a native of Oglethorpe County, but lived most of his life in Athens. He was the son of the late William Woodson and Nettie Carithers Daniel. He served in the US Army during WWII and worked for Amoco Oil Company for 30 years. For the last 8 years he has been a security guard of General Cable in Watkinsville. He was a member of Oconee Heights Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 2:30 pm at Bernstein Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tom Lang officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Lavania Daniel, Athens; a stepson, Charles Gearin, Athens; two granddaughters, Jennifer Gearin and Amanda Gearin, both of Athens; and a number of nieces and nephews.
