A native of Wilkes County, Mr. Mills was a son of the late Ed and Pearl Mills. He was a member of Twin Oak Baptist Church. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Twin Oak Baptist Church, Washington, with the Rev. Charlie Maddox officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include a brother, Albert Mills, Atlanta. Pallbearers will be Glenn Easley, Larry Easley, Ricky Mills, Charles Mays, Curtis Willis and Larry Williams. A native of Clarke County, Mr. Chafin was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Madeline Chafin; his parents, William Howell, Sr. and Ruby Lillian Dean Chafin; his sister, Mary Chafin Bullock; and his grandson, Darren Howell Blume. He was a 1931 graduate of Athens High School. He was a retired master machinist with Lockheed-Martin and a member of International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers for 37 years. He was a Mason. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Tuck Sunday School Class. Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Bernstein Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.
