A native of Rockford, Ill., Ms. West was a daughter of the late Charles Edwin and Mary Stoddard West. She was a retired bookkeeper and had worked as the treasurer of the gift shop at Lanier Gardens. She taught lip-reading and Bible study and was a member of the Blessed Hope Bible Church of Rockford. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Evergreen Memorial Park with the Rev. John Perkins officiating. Survivors include two brothers, Clyde West, Machesney Park, Ill., and Wayne West, Athens. The family asked that flowers be omitted.
