Born to Dean and Sarah Moore in Miami, Florida, Ellen moved to Georgia with her husband, Tom Munro, in 1985, where they built a life in our community. Ellen was most proud of her family, her children, Heather, Holly, Forest and Linden, and dedicated her life to loving them. She brightened the lives of many friends in her service as a Girl Scout leader, her assistance to the teachers at her children's schools, coaching soccer and participating in her quilting club. Ellen brought cheer to those in need and through her work with hospice. She completed training for a full degree in phlebotomy and went on to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. Working as a CNA at Athens Regional Medical Center while attending nursing classes at Athens Tech was fulfilling a life long dream for Ellen, who always wanted to be a nurse. She was an inspiration to her friends with a positive word for anyone. Her spirit continues with them.
