A native of Gwinnett County, Mrs. Hoopaugh was a daughter of the late Rev. James W. and Ada Shaw Holt, and was the widow of C.A. Hoopaugh. She was retired from R&R Manufacturing Company. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Carter Funeral Home, Winder, with the Revs. Sammy Everett and Jerry Flanigan officiating. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens with the Rev. J.B. Wilkins officiating. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Loner, Auburn, and Dorothy Sims, Dacula; a sister, Ruby McHugh, Lawrenceville; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; a step-great-great-grandchild; and nieces and nephews. A native of Madison County, Mr. Trammell was a son of Wayne and Judy Porter Trammell, Jefferson. He was a poultry farmer. A native of Carroll County, Mr. Jackson was a son of the late E.T. and Willa Garrett Jackson. A World War II Navy veteran, he earned a Bachelor of Divinity degree from Bible Baptist Seminary, Fort Worth, Texas, and a Bachelor of Arts in Bible degree from Emmanuel College, Atlanta, and was a minister at churches in Albany and East Point, Ga., and Mansfield, Texas. He was the founder of Hope Haven Inc., and served as president and director of the Jackson Trail Christian School. Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Evans Funeral Home with the Rev. R.H. A native of Oconee County, S.C., Mrs. Bowers was a daughter of the late Milton and Essie Dowis Jarrett, and was the widow of Claude Jones Bowers. She was a lifelong resident of Toccoa and was a bookkeeper for the Julius Johnson Accounting Firm. She was a member of the Emma Vickery Ladies Bible Class, The Wesleyan Service Build and the Toccoa Pilot Club. She attended First United Methodist Church of Toccoa. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Lamb officiating. Burial will be in Stephens Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Priscilla Hunter Soto passed on peacefully in her sleep with her family by her side on Friday, Oct. 13, 2000, at the beautiful Champions at Porters Neck Assisted Living Center after a brief illness. Mrs. Soto was born August 27, 1909, in Raleigh County, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Robert Lee Hunter, MD, and Lula Mae Jarrell. She was raised by several aunts including Mrs. Esther J. Snipes of Marion, N.C. She was proudly in the first graduating class of Clear Fork High School and received her teaching certificate from Concord College, Athens, West Virginia. She taught elementary education for 28 years in Boone, Kanawha and Cabell counties in West Virginia. She is joined forever with her beloved husband of 65 years, Joseph S. Soto. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Lou Soto of Annandale, Va.; her granddaughter, Mary Catherine Jett Byrne and husband, Michael, and great-grandson's, Colin and Andrew, of Victoria, B.C., Canada; granddaughter, Debra Ann Jett of San Diego, Calif. Her son, Joseph Lee Soto and Wife, Sherry, of Wilmington; her granddaughter, Melissa Ann Soto Schofield, her husband Joel, and great-granddaughter, Rebecca; her granddaughter, Joanna Lynn Soto Carabello and husband, Charlie, all of Athens, Ga.; and grandson, Joshua D. Cross of Wilmington. While a resident of Charleston, W.Va., she completed her degree in education from Morris Harvey College and taught at Chamberlain Elementary School. She and her husband were charter members of the Village Chapel Presbyterian Church and she was a member of the Eastern Star. While a resident of Huntington, W.Va., she taught at Buffington Elementary School and was a loyal supporter and lifetime member of Marshall University Alumni Association and Phi Mu Sorority, and was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Upon retirement, they moved to Radford, Va., and were active volunteers at Radford Community Hospital and traveled extensively. They were active members of Snowville Christian Church. While a resident of Wilmington, N.C., she was a senior volunteer at Cape Fear Memorial Hospital and was recognized by Plantation Village for her volunteer service and was 1999 Volunteer of the Year at C.N. Davis Health Care Center. She was a member of Little Chapel on the Boardwalk Presbyterian. The Rev. Hannah Brawley of the Little Chapel will conduct a graveside service at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 16, 2000, at Oleander Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Home on Sunday, Oct. 15, after 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made for a new van to Champions at Porters Neck or the C.N.
