Berthel ''Bert'' Perry, 68, died Friday, April 14, 2000. A native of Habersham County, Rev. Perry was a son of the late Floyd and Maybelle Fry Perry, and was preceded in death by a daughter, Dianne Perry O'Kelly. He was a retired private duty nurse, a Korean Conflict Army veteran and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at New Hope Baptist Church, Cornelia, with the Revs. Roy Lee Mitchell, Gary Allen and Hoyt Skelton officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Lewallen Perry; three sisters, Ovalene Abernathy and Genevie Ward, both of Calhoun, and Dorothy Mae Perry, Mt. Airy; four brothers, Ernest Perry, Eugene Perry and Bee Perry, all of Mt. Airy, and Phil Perry, Demorest; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. A native of DeKalb County, Mrs. Clarke was a daughter of Estelle Head Shubert and the late Joseph Luther Shubert, was the widow of the Rev. Dale Clarke, and was preceded in death by a son, Nathan Clarke. She was a homemaker and a member of Life-Line Methodist Church. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Life-Line Methodist Church, Bowersville, with the Revs. Ken Adkins, Gene Smith and Woodrow Sally officiating. Burial will be at 4 p.m. at H.G. Wright Cemetery, Norcross.
