Dake Danielsville J.A. Dake, 77, of 65 Sherwood Circle, died Friday, Oct. 13, 2000. A native of Emory, Texas, Mr. Dake was a son of the late Charlie and Cynthia Lot Martin Dake. He was a Danielsville resident for 21 years, was a U.S. Army veteran and was of the Baptist faith. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Danielsville Memorial Gardens. Survivors include his wife, Johnnie Dake; four daughters, Johnnie Dake Shannon and Linda Baird, both of Danielsville, Carol Dake, Hull, and Betty LaRue, Paris, Texas; seven sons, James Dake, Comer, Tony L. Dake, Elberton, A.J. Dillman, Garland, Texas, Steve Dake, Crawford, Fred Dake, Colbert, Clarence Dake, Indiana, and William Dake, Statham; 29 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren. A native of Wilkes County, Mrs. Barnett was a daughter of the late Frank W. and Sally Blakey Darracott, and was the widow of Joe Carswell Barnett Sr. She founded Washington Drapery Company in 1964, Barnett & Barnett Manufacturing Company in 1975 and Washington Footwear in 1978. She served as president of the Washington-Wilkes Country Club from 1977-1980, and was a member of the Washington City Council from 1981 to 1985 and 1990 to 1997. She had served on the Board of Directors of Farmers & Merchants Bank and was a member of Washington First Baptist Church. Services will be at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Resthaven Cemetery with the Rev. Albert Huyck officiating. Survivors include three sons, Joe C. Barnett Jr., Danny Barnett and Jimmy Barnett, all of Washington; a sister, Katie D. A native of Franklin County, Mr. Wheeler was a son of Arthur Lee and Roeler Wheeler. Mr Wheeler was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. A native of Clarke County, Angellina was the daughter of Ronda Lynn Woolston. She had attended Athens Christian School and was a member of Willie's Kung Fu Class. She had won numerous trophies in local and state beauty pageants. Survivors other than her mother include grandparents, Gary and Elizabeth Woolston, Athens; great-grandparents, Allie E. Woolston, Walnut Grove, and Ida Mae West, Monroe; aunts and uncles, Rick and Regina Woolston, Athens; Vicky and Ronnie Pereno, Davison, Michigan; Tim and J. Woolston, Lawrenceville; and Jamie Woolston, Athens; great aunts and uncles, Bobbie and Pat Savage, Mt. Morris, Michigan; and Karen Vernon, Walnut Grove. A number of cousins also survive. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 17, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, at 3:00 p.m. Bishop Alan Johnson will officiate and burial will follow in the Corinth Church cemetery in Walnut Grove, Ga.
