She was the daughter of the late Mr. John Oscar and Avie Lou Epps Wilkes. She was a member of the Young Harris United Methodist Church and was connected with the A&A Bakery for a number of years. Survivors include a brother, Norman Wilkes of Dublin, Ga.; sisters-in-law, Lucille Wilkes of Athens, Ga., Louise Wilkes of Bogart, Ga., and Raydell Wilkes of Dublin, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday, January 17, 2000, at the chapel of Bridges Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Marsingill officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. Giles, 83, died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2000. A native of Oconee County, Mrs. Giles was a daughter of the late Grady and Eleanor Graves Thrasher. She was the widow of George Wesley Giles, and was preceded in death by a son, William Grady Giles. She was a retired seamstress and a member of Salem United Methodist Church. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Arthur Bowick's Oconee Chapel with the Rev. Robert Garrett officiating. Burial will be in Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery. A native of Madison County, Mrs. Findley was a daughter of the late Gordon M. and Clara Brown Abercrombie, was the widow of Jacob Steven ''Steve'' Findley, and was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Ann Findley. She was retired from Westclox Company and was a member of the Vanna United Methodist Church. Stroud, 81, of 3501 Timothy Road, died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2000. A native of Bulloch County, she was a daughter of the late Leon and Mollie Akerman Donaldson and the widow of Colon Stroud. Prior to moving to Athens, she made her home in Savannah for 26 years and moved to Lake Wales, Fla., in 1975. She was a member First Baptist Church of Lake Wales and a former member of Wilmington Island Baptist Church. Mrs. Stroud attended Cornerstone Church of God in Athens. Memorial Services will be Monday, Jan. 17, 2000, at 7 p.m. at Lord & Stephens Chapel, East. The family will receive friends following the memorial service. Interment will be Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2000, at 10:00 a.m. at Lake Wales Cemetery, Lake Wales, Fla. The family will receive friends following the graveside service.
