A native of Clarke County, Mrs. Burdette was a daughter of the late Robert Silva and Ernestine Howard Hicks. She was employed with Southern Masters Insurance Company and was a member of Forest Heights Baptist Church. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Salem Baptist Church, Lexington, with the Rev. Mike Purdy officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Jennifer Young, Winterville; a son, Matt Young, Stephens; aunts and uncles. Cousins will be pallbearers. A native of Franklin County, Mrs. Timms was a daughter of the late Henry Martin and Josephine Grubbs Ford. She was a homemaker and a member of United Daughters of the Confederacy, Franklin County Chamber of Commerce and the Lavonia Garden Club. She attended Lavonia First Baptist Church. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hamby Funeral Home with Dr. Larry Finger and the Rev. Richard Bielski officiating. Burial will be in Franklin Memorial Garden North. Survivors include her husband, William Irvin Timms; two sons, William Ford Timms, Tucker, and David Stuart Timms, Stone Mountain; two sisters, Maephene Edwards, Lavonia, and Peggy Green, Decatur; a brother, Henry Jack Ford, Athens; and three grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev. W.R. Flint officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Survivors include four daughters, Patricia Winfrey and Margie Winfrey, both of Atlanta, and Brenda Winfrey and Delose Winfrey, both of Athens; five sons, John Ed Winfrey Jr., Robert Winfrey, Roy Winfrey, Larry Winfrey and Farris Jones, all of Athens; a sister, Della Moon, Bishop; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
