Chesebro Cornelia Margaret Brocker Chesebro, 73, of died Monday, July 17, 2000. A native of Plainsfield, N.Y., Mrs. Chesebro was a daughter of the late George and Thelma Force Brocker and was the widow of Paul Chesebro Sr. She was a homemaker and was a member of First Baptist Church, Brookfield, N.Y. Memorial services were Tuesday at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest. The Rev. Ryan Smith officiated. Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Schmidt, Brookfield, and Celeste Hoose, Cornelia; a son, Paul Chesebro Jr., Clarkesville; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A native of Hart County, Mrs. Segars was a daughter of Grace O'Neal Moore Brown, Canon, and the late Thomas Plummer Brown. She was employed at Walmart and was a member of Bowman Baptist Church. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Bowman Baptist Church with the Revs. Billy Owensby and John Forbes officiating. Burial will be in Holly Springs Baptist Church cemetery. Survivors, in addition to her mother, include three daughters, Becky Crawford, Starr, S.C., Jean Adams, Dewy Rose, and Robin Webb, Bowman; two sons, Eddy Segars, Colbert, and Shannon Segars, Bowman; three sisters, Cathleen Maxwell and Sandra Lunsford, both of Canon, and Doris Rice, Royston; five brothers, Gene Brown, Athens, William Brown, Columbia, S.C., Edwin Brown, Colbert, Jimmy Brown and O'Neal Brown, both of Royston; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A native of Toccoa, Mr. Bryant was a son of the late Charles H. Bryant and the late Martha Wallace Simmons and the late ''Red'' Simmons. He attended Piedmont College where he majored in English and psychology. He was a writer, camp counselor and English teacher. He worked in hospital collections and was assistant editor of the History of Hart County. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Strickland Funeral Home, Hartwell. Survivors include four sisters, Carol Gariner, Townville, S.C., Brenda Deal, Westminster, S.C., Debra King, Anderson, S.C., and Annette Singleton, Toccoa; nieces and nephews. Mrs. Casey was born in Franklin County, August 17, 1915, daughter of the late Dolphus Crayton Broome and the late Laura Emma Jordan Broome. She was a 1938 Graduate of Grady Memorial School of Nursing and practiced her profession for 40 years in Atlanta, Georgia. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Royston, Georgia. Her husband was the late Frank Casey. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Dr. James Miller and Mrs. Laura Casey Miller, Athens, Georgia; granddaughter, Amanda Laura Miller, Atlanta, Georgia; sisters, Eunice Broome Casey, Canon, Georgia, Henry Thelma Broome, Royston, Georgia, and Gencye Broome Seymour, Elberton, Georgia; niece and nephew, Sandra Casey Reel, Lakeland, Florida, and Truitt B. Hardigree Watkinsville Thomas E. Hardigree, age 74 of Watkinsville died July 17, 2000. A native of Oconee County, he was the son of the late Ralph C. Hardigree and Cleo Wilkes Hardigree. He was retired from the food service department of the University of Georgia and formerly employed by Kroger and A. & P. Stores. He was a founding deacon of Memorial Baptist Church, Watkinsville and had served in World War II in the U.S. Navy. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday in Arthur Bowick's Oconee Chapel, Watkinsville. Rev. Darrell Gilmer and Rev. James Ashe will officiate. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. Surviving are his widow: Evelyn Lee Hardigree; two sons: Ronnie Hardigree of Athens and Eddie Hardigree of Bogart; two sisters: Ruby Neal Lavender and Agnes L. Parks, both of Watkinsville; two brothers: Eugene Hardigree of Buford and Ralph C.
