A native of Jackson County, Mr. Jarrell was a son of the late Roy and Reecie Haley Jarrell Sr. He was a member of the Melvin Hill C.M.E. Church. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Melvin Hill C.M.E. Church with the Rev. Arthur L. Jones officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A native of Elbert County, Mr. Butler was a son of the late William Newton and Maggie Webb Butler Sr. He was retired from Elberton Mills and was a World War II army veteran. He was a member of Masonic Lodge Philomathea 25, the VFW, Dixie Drifters and the Ramblin Rockers Camping Club. He attended Elberton Christian Church. A native of Clarke County, he was a son of William R., Sr. and Lucy Talmadge Hardell. He was a 1984 graduate of Georgia Tech with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He was employed with IBM as a Research Engineer in Boca Raton, Fla. from 1984 until 1986 and Austin, TX since 1986. Mr. Hardell received an Achievement Award in 1989 for his many inventions and was a recipient of several patents in his area of work. Survivors in addition to his parents include a brother and a sister-in-law, Robert T., Sr. and Anne James Hardell of Athens; Grandmother, Sarah Price Talmadge of Athens and several nieces and nephews. He was 57 years old. Mr. Jones was the son of the late Charles Jones Jr. and the late Frances Jones Guest. Mr. Jones was employed by American Oil Company for twenty-five years. He was a member of Central Presbyterian Church and past officer of the TIP OFF Club. Mr. Jones is survived by two daughters: Kimberly J. Maupin of Saint Simons Island, GA and Cheryl J. Jackson of Stamford, CT; a son: Charles J. Jones IV of Athens, GA; two brothers: Keith H. Guest and Howard L. Guest Jr. both of Athens, GA; and four grandchildren: Mary Anna Maupin, Kate Maupin, Chandler Jackson, and Anna Jane Jackson.
