Harold Vernon Clum Sr., 82, formerly of Athens, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2000. A native of Thornville, Ohio, Mr. Clum was a livestock marketing specialist at the University of Georgia and was a member of Milledge Avenue Baptist Church. He was a member and past president of National Association of Retired Federal Employees Athens chapter and was a member of National Senepol Breeders Association. He was director of extension services at the College of the Virgin Islands, St. Croix. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Survivors include his wife, Miriam K. Clum; two daughters, Patricia C. Jordan, Athens, and Carol Snell Patton, Orlando, Fla.; a son, Harold Vernon Clum Jr., New Port Richey; two brothers, Floyd Clum, Falls Church, Va., and Ralph Clum, Lake Lure, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A native of Atlanta, Begg was a daughter of the late Allen J. Sr. and Hattie May Pulliam Walters. She was the widow of Arnold Bryan Isbell and William D. Begg.
