A native of Anderson County, S.C., Mr. Reed was the son of Marion Vickery Reed, Hartwell, and the late Inman Eugene Reed Sr. He was retired from the Hartwell Company and was a member of the Hartwell First Baptist Church. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Hartwell First Baptist Church with Dr. F. Hugh Kirby officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Nancy Hart Memorial Park. Survivors in addition to his mother include a daughter, Meredith Leigh Reed, Anderson, S.C.; a stepson, Eric Gillespie, Camp Lajune, N.C.; and a step-grandson. The family is at the residence of Marion Reed, 238 Vickery St., Hartwell, and will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today at Strickland Funeral Home. A native of Lumpkin County, Mrs. Nicely was a daughter of the late James and Annie W. Trammell, and was preceded in death by a son, William Calvin Nicely Jr. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Cleveland. Burial will be in Clarkesville Cemetery. Survivors include four daughters, Eddie Mae Huffman, Dayton, Ohio, O'nether Cannon and Juanita Nicely, both of Sautee, and Chris Moore, Toccoa; three sons, Charles Nicely, Dale Nicely and Thomas Nicely, all of Sautee; two sisters, Mary Cantrell, Dayton, Ohio, and Catherine Lowery, Toccoa; and two brothers, Mitchell Trammell, Dayton, Ohio, and James Howard Trammell, Atlanta. A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mrs. Ginnel was a daughter of Richard Feastermacher and Margart Cromwell. She was in L.A.N. Administration and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Snellville. Services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Hope Christian Church, Winder, with the Rev. Mark Milioni officiating. Survivors include her husband, Glenn Ginnel; two sons, Cody Ginnel and Jordan Ginnel, both of Winder; two sisters, Jennifer Feastermacher and Allison Feastermacher, both of Eatonton; and a brother, Richard Featermacher III, Norfolk, Va. Heaton Toccoa Mr. Flay Josephus Heaton, 76, of Shady Lane, Toccoa, died Saturday, March 18, 2000, at Stephens County Hospital. Born August 31, 1923, in the Chopped Oak Community of Habersham County, he was a son of the late Flay Josephus and Fannie Dodd Heaton. Mr. Heaton graduated from Toccoa High School in 1943 and graduated cum laude from Piedmont College in 1955 with a Bachelor of Business Administration. An Honorary Doctorate in Business was conferred on him in 1978 in recognition of his outstanding career in industry and his contributions to his Alma Mater. After retirement, he became a Certified Real Estate Appraiser and worked with his long time friend and business associate, H.T. Davis. Mr. Heaton and his wife were very instrumental in the organization and location of Whitlock Mortuary. Prior to retirement, he was employed by WABCO, Inc. (successor to LeTourneau Co. of Ga.) from 1944 until 1982. His last position held was Plant Manager. He served in World War II with the 137th Ordinance Company for thirty-eight months. Mr. Heaton was a member of the First Baptist Church and Davis Vaughn Sunday School Class. He was a former member of Toccoa Lodge 309 F & AM, Royal Arch Masons, and Commandery, Toccoa Country Club and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 4346. He served as a Trustee of Piedmont College for 25 years, and afterwards as Trustee Emeritus. He served as Trustee of Victory Home, Inc., Tallulah Falls, Ga. He was a member of the President's Advisory Council and Foundation Committee of Toccoa Falls College. Survivors include his wife, Patricia McBrayer Heaton of the home; sister, Mrs. Sloan (Flacey Heaton) Dean of Toccoa; ten nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; great-great nephew and God Son, Stephen Bannister. Funeral services will be held at eleven o'clock Monday, March 20, 2000, from the First Baptist Church of Toccoa with Dr. Henry Fields officiating. Burial will follow at Lavonia City Cemetery. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Max Brock, Bob Glore, Wayne Colston, Bill Stovall, Irvin Hallford, Frank Dean, Bobby Hobgood, Joey Riley, John O'Kelley and Michael Garrett. Flowers are optional; memorials may be made to the Chapel Fund of First Baptist Church, The Heaton-McBrayer Scholarship Fund at Piedmont College, or the charity of one's choice.
