A native of Troup County, Mr. Johnson was a son of the late William Rabun and Overton Rachel Hearn Johnson Sr. A graduate of Hogansville High School and the University of Georgia, he was employed with Georgia Kraft in the Forestry Industry for 48 years. He was a member of the AARP, president of the cemetery association, president of the American Cancer Society, member of the Historical Preservation Society and member of First Presbyterian Church of Greensboro. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at First Presbyterian Church of Greensboro with the Revs. Ford G'Segner and Richard Chewning officiating. Burial will be in Greensboro City Cemetery. A 40-year resident of Greene County, he was a graduate of Morgan County High School, was the owner/operator of Greensboro florist and was a World War II army veteran who was awarded the bronze star for heroism.
