A native of Philadelphia, Pa., Mr. Faulkner was a son of the late Clarence R. Sr. and Harriet Gibson Chase Faulkner. He was retired from the U.S. Army with the rank of Major after 20 years. He was a retired electrical contractor in New Jersey with 45 years of service. He was a member of Yonah Lodge, Cleveland, and was a life member of Grant Reeves VFW Post 7720. He was a member of the International Electrical Inspectors Association and Who's Who in America. A native of Uniontown, AL, he was the son of Mary Hill Engler of Maxeys, and the late Julian D. Stoudenmire. Moving from Jefferson, Ga, he had lived in this area for nineteen years, and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Stoudenmire had served as an assistant principal and a physical education teacher for the last thirty five years. During this time, he coached football for a total of thirty two years. Beginning in Jefferson, he served for seventeen years, two years at Monroe Area, and the last thirteen at Oglethorpe County High. Funeral services will be Sunday, January 23, 2000, at 3:00 PM at Lexington Baptist Church. Revs. Harry Warren, Billy Tucker, and George Hall will officiate. Interment will be in Clarke Cemetery.
