A native of Taliaferro County, Mr. Edwards was the widower of the late Fanida Combs Edwards. He was a retired farmer and logger, and was a member of Sandy Cross Baptist Church in Crawfordville. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Resthaven Cemetery in Washington with the Rev. Tom Miles officiating. A native of Elbert County, Mrs. Moon was the daughter of the late Jack Nelms and Sallie McConnell. She was the widow of Hugh Dorsey Moon. A seamstress retired from Blue Bell, she was a member of Danielsville Baptist Church. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Lord & Stephens Madison Chapel with the Rev. A native of Greene County, Mr. Jackson was a son of the late Georgia Mae Jackson and Earl Lee Swain, and the widower of Mary Louise Lightfoot. His stepfather, Andrew Grimes, preceded him in death. A native of Cornelia, he was the son of the late Cicero Bartow and Georgia Celeste Ivie Davis, and the husband of Margie Amanda Gray Davis. He was retired from Southern Railroad, and a member of Cornelia First Presbyterian Church, where he served as a deacon, trustee and elder and was named elder emeritus. He served as chairman of the school board, treasurer of the Demorest Men's Civic Club and treasurer of the Cornelia Kiwanis Club. He was a member of Cornelia Masonic Lodge 92 F&AM, and was a Mason for over 75 years. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cornelia First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Main St., died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2000 at Brown Memorial Convalescent Center in Royston. Mrs. Garner was born Sept. 27, 1901 to the late J.D. Hicks and Emma Bradley Hicks. She was the widow of Norman L. Garner. She was a homemaker and the oldest living member of New Franklin Christian Church where she was very active in many different positions for most of her life. Survivors are one daughter, Sara Bartlett, Lavonia, one son, Nelson Garner, Clinton, S.C., eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister-in-law, Mrs. Jo Garner of Bowersville. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Etta King, Lee Hicks and Lura Sayer, and three brothers, Reece Hicks, Doyle Hicks and Milton Hicks. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 24, 2000 at New Franklin Christian Church with the Rev.Jimmy Grubbs and the Rev. George Secrist officiating.
