A native of Madison County, Mrs. Phillips was a daughter of Frances Pauline Shaw Rousey and the late Henry Melvin Rousey. She was a spinner in the textile industry and was of the Baptist faith. Services will be at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at Berry Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Adams officiating. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery. Survivors, in addition to her mother, include her husband, Ronald Daniel Phillips; a son, Joel Phillip Hugley, Elberton; three sisters, Frances Guest, Comer, Wadene Borders, Iva, S.C., and Jeanette Fowler, Hartwell; six brothers, J.W. Rousey, Hartwell, Melvin G. Rousey, Calhoun Falls, S.C., Wendall Rousey, Elberton, Roger Rousey and James Rousey, both of Iva, and Paul Rousey, Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and two grandchildren. A native of Elbert County, Mrs. Worley was a daughter of the late John T. and Katie Jackson Rainey and was the widow of James Herman Worley. She was a homemaker and was a member of Elberton First Baptist Church. Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Berry Funeral Home with Dr. C.E. Jackson III and the Rev. Steve Fenlon officiating.
