McGinnis Jefferson George Wesley McGinnis, 76, of 2873 Commerce Road died Monday, Oct. 23, 2000. A native of Hall County, Mr. McGinnis was a son of the late Guy Rueben and Nellie Lou McGinnis. He was a retired welder and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church and was a mason. Services will be at 5 p.m. today at Wilson United Methodist Church with the Rev. Larry Wilbanks officiating. Survivors include three sons, Greg McGinnis, Jefferson, Mike McGinnis, Winneconne, Wis., and Tim McGinnis, Omro, Wis.; two sisters, Lucille Sims, Maysville, and Dorothy Trammell, Pine Mountain; two brothers, Guy McGinnis, Toccoa, and Harold McGinnis, Commerce; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. A native of Huntsville, Ala., Mrs. Dawkins was a daughter of the late Virgil Llewellyn and Martha Elizabeth Steakley Rogers and was the widow of Charlie Roe Dawkins. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Willene Gollette, and by a son, Joseph Wayne Dawkins. She was a homemaker and was a member of Gaines Chapel United Methodist Church. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Ginn Funeral Home, Carnesville, with the Revs. Wayne Lambert and Sam Duncan officiating. Burial will be in Gaines Chapel United Methodist Church cemetery. ''Bud'' and Susie Tolbert Smith. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a cattle farmer. He had been a member of Winterville First Baptist Church for 47 years, where he as a Life Deacon and a member of the Pope Spratlin Sunday School Class. He was predeceased by two brothers, Paul Smith and Donald Smith. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Wednesday at Winterville First Baptist Church.
