A native of Clarke County, Mr. Sutton was a son of Willie M. Sutton and the late James Sutton. He was a production manager for Kelly Diversified Inc., was a U.S. Army Airborne Division veteran and was a graduate of Burney-Harris High School. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Hill Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Ozzie Hanson officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. A native of Stephens County, Mr. Farmer was a son of the late Joe Hansel and Emma Elizabeth Brown Farmer. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was a Master Sergeant in the Artillery Unit of the Georgia National Guard having served in France. He was retired from Coats and Clark after 29 years of service and was a member of Carnes Creek Baptist Church where he served as chairman of the board of deacons. He was a member of the Men's Sunday School class. He was a former teacher of the boy's Sunday School class, was a member and treasurer of the Church Brotherhood and was a former president of the Top of the Line. He was a former member of the Men's Monday Morning Coffee Club and was a member of VFW Post 4346. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Carnes Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Dr. Tim Miller and Mark Ivester officiating. Burial will be in Stephens Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by Toccoa VFW Post 4346. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Ruby Bertschin Farmer; a daughter, Kathy Hobgood, Toccoa; a son, Ronny Farmer, Suwanee; three sisters, Zelia Mae Anderson, Madeline Farmer and Mary Jo Farmer, all of Toccoa; two grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
