A native of Oglethorpe County, Mr. Long was a son of the late Willie E. and Dorothy Long. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Joann Long, and by a son, Roger E. Long. He was a member of New Bethlehem Baptist Church and was employed by the Granite Association. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at New Bethlehem Baptist Church, Carlton, with the Rev. Sam A. Bishop officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Eunice Ann Long; three daughters, Mary E. Hughes, Dorothy M. A native of Hall County, Mrs. Finch was a daughter of the late Eli Washington Finch and Leola Freeman Jennings and was the widow of Glenn Boswell Finch. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jean Finch King. She was retired as a seamer from Union Manufacturing Co. and was a clerk at Weinstein's and Greensboro Five and Dime Store. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the Women's Auxiliary at Minnie G. Boswell Memorial Hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Greenview Cemetery with the Rev. Eddie Roland officiating. Survivors include two daughters, Evelyn Dunn, Tifton, and Connie Tatman, Marietta; three sons, Glenn E. Finch and Johnny Finch, both of Greensboro, and Ronnie L. He was a material handler for Ivex Packaging Corp., Madison, and was a U.S. Navy veteran of Vietnam. While in the Navy he served on the aircraft carrier, USS Hornet. A native of Wilcox County, Mr. Hunter was born May 6, 1914, a son of the late L.A. and Alma Sue Belcher Hunter and was the widower of Thelma Boggus Hunter. Mr. Hunter was a lifelong resident of the community. He was retired Superintendent, Ben Hill County Schools (28 Yrs). He served as Teacher and Principal in Ben Hill Co. Schools for 13 yrs before becoming Superintendent. Mr. Hunter was a graduate of GA Southern University at Statesboro, GA. He was a Deacon of Bethlehem Baptist Church, serving as Church Clerk for over 30 years and was also a Sunday School Teacher. Survivors include a daughter, Brenda H. Browning, Winterville; a grandson, Neal Browning, Seattle; a granddaughter, Leslie B. Pourreau, Kennesaw; and a sister, Alma Kate Hunter, Albany. The Family requests that Friends please omit flowers.
