A native of Fitzgerald, Mrs. Creech was a daughter of Jake E. and Lois Mitchell Brewer Jr. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Fitzgerald, and Alpha Delta Kappa. She was a first-grade teacher at Whit Davis Road Elementary School, Athens, and had taught school in Macon and Fitzgerald. She was a 1965 graduate of Fitzgerald High School, received an undergraduate degree from Georgia Southern College and a master's degree from the University of Georgia. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church, Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Don Cooke officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Survivors, in addition to her parents, include her husband, Jamie Creech; three sons, Scott Willis, Cumming, Brice Willis, Athens, and David Creech, Atlanta; and three sisters, Beth Gould, St. Simons Island, Mary Stacey, Dover, Tenn., and Lynn Woodsworth, Fitzgerald. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Hospice, Humane Society or to First Presbyterian Church, Fitzgerald. Marjorie Fairey Haston, 74, formerly of Jacksonville, Fla., Athens and Clayton, died Saturday, March 25, 2000. A native of Orangeburg, S.C., Mrs. Haston was a daughter of Marjorie Houston Fairey and the late William F. Fairey and was the widow of Dr. Hugh Haston Jr. She was a member of Ortegan United Methodist Church and Timuquana Country Club, Jacksonville. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Pawleys Island Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors, in addition to her mother, include four daughters, Marjorie H. A native of Montgomery, Ala., Mr. Nessmith was a son of the late Reginald and Edith Marie Storey Nessmith. He was an illustrator/photographer at the U.S. Navy Supply Corps School and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a gardener and artist. Services will be announced later.
