A native of Banks County, Mrs. Wilkie was a daughter of the late William A. and Myrtle Allen Barrett. She was a homemaker and was a member of Community Baptist Church. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, with the Rev. David Strickland officiating. Burial will be in Jackson Memorial Gardens, Commerce. A native of Stephens County, Mr. Garrett was a son of the late Wiley and Cora Hallford Garrett. He was employed by LeTourneau Co. and was retired from Wabco after 39 years with the two companies. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having served as a staff sergeant in the field artillery division in the Pacific and European theaters. He was a member of Mount Bethel Church of God. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Revs. Don Unsell and Jerry Mize officiating. Burial will be in Mount Bethel Church of God cemetery with military honors by VFW Toccoa Post 4346. Survivors include his wife, Ollie McEntyre Garrett; two sons, Jerry Garrett, Panama City, Fla., and Dale Garrett, Toccoa; a sister, Rosie Belle Hulsey, Mount Airy; three brothers, Pete Garrett and Paul Garrett, both of Toccoa, and Robert Garrett, Mount Airy; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
