A native of Elbert County, Mr. Craft was a son of the late John and Octavia Gaines Craft and was the widower of Lois Roberts Craft. He was preceded in death by a son, Eddie Craft. He was a retired grinder for the NVF Manufacturing Company and was a member of the Coldwater United Methodist Church. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Coldwater United Methodist Church with the Revs. Stan Hamilton and Ed Sayer officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Ann Hartison, Rocky Mount, Va.; a son, Curtis Craft, Elberton; two sisters, Jewell Hendrix, Elberton, and Lillian White, Anderson, S.C.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A native of Green Point, NY, Mrs. Leitgeb was a daughter of the late George and Ruth Yarrow Eckstein. She was a registered nurse and practiced at Toccoa Nursing Center for seven years. She was a member of the Liberty Hill Baptist Church and the Lydia Sunday School class. She was a member of the Currahee Squares. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Liberty Hill Baptist Church with the Revs. Furman Lewis and Ken Fennell officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. OBITUARIES Story last updated at 10:27 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29, 2000 Cal C. Stoll Golden Valley, Minn. Cal C. Stoll, 76, formerly of Athens, died Friday, Aug. 25, 2000. A native of Page, ND, Mr. Stoll was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. His first coaching job was at Mound High School. He coached at Utah State University, University of Denver and the University of Georgia where he worked as an assistant under Wally Butts from 1957-1958. While in Georgia he recruited and coached Francis Tarkenton. He worked for 10 years as defensive coordinator, offensive end and line coach at Michigan State and in 1969 became the head coach at Wake Forest University where he was named the ACC coach of the year. He was the head coach at the University of Minnesota from 1972-1978. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church, Golden Valley, Minn. Burial will be in the National Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, June Stoll; a daughter, Jill Stoll; a son, Mark Stoll; three sisters, Louisa Woodard, Ruth McKay and Phyllis Halverson; two brothers, Bill Stoll and Ken Stoll; and three grandchildren. OBITUARIES Story last updated at 10:20 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29, 2000 Parna Bhattacharyya Calcutta, India Photo: obits Parna Bhattacharyya, 58, died Monday, August 21, in Calcutta, India. She is survived by her husband, Jnanabrata (Kanu) Bhattacharyya of Athens and a son, Gautam Bhattacharyya, currently of Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana. Parna was born in Calcutta and moved with her husband to the United States in 1965. She had lived primarily in Athens since 1976 with brief detours to Brazil and Providence, Rhode Island. For many years she operated a home child care center, taking care of babies two weeks to three years old. Parna was truly gifted in working with children and is much loved by many of Athens' children and parents. Parna served as an informal advisor to several schools and day care organizations, giving freely of her expertise. She was also very active in the Indian community, always doing things for others and sharing her home and hospitality. Funeral services are ongoing in Calcutta but there will be a memorial service in Athens later this year. The family very much appreciates the tremendous outpouring of love and concern from all their friends and requests that any memorials be made to The Clute Barrow Nelson Life Foundation or any other organization that benefits children in need.
