A native of Hartwell, Mrs. Huguenin owned and operated a home bakery and was a member of Warren Baptist Church. She taught school at Savannah Christian School, Savannah, and received an award for her volunteer work at Walton Rehabilitation Center. She wrote ''Food for Thought'' for the Martinez-Evans Times and the Jasper County News. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Platt's Funeral Home, Evans, with the Rev. Larry Harmon Officiating. Other services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Ridgeland, S.C. Burial will be in Huguenin Family Cemetery, Coosawhatchie, S.C. Survivors include a daughter, Kathy Armstrong, Conyers; three sons, Edward U. Huguenin III, Savannah, David L. Huguenin, Evans, and Julius Abram Huguenin, Hiram; two brothers, Joe Rice, Miami, and Bill Rice, Charlotte, N.C.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Escoe Crawford Lewis Quinton Escoe, 80, of 1295 Comer Road died Tuesday, March 28, 2000. A native of Oglethorpe County, Mr. Escoe was a son of the late Walter and Cora Russell Escoe. He was a retired manager for Dixie Feed and Seed. He was a 50-year member of American Legion Post 123 and was a member of Masonic Shannon Lodge. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the South Pacific Asia campaign in New Guinea. He was a member of Burt's Chapel United Methodist Church. A native of Clarke County, Mrs. Peacock was a daughter of the late Walter Andrew and Susie Baker Aaron. She joined the Salvation Army at the age of twelve and upon her retirement she had obtained the rank of Major. She was instrumental in forming the Salvation Army in Athens, Gainesville, Cleveland, Toccoa and Hartwell. She was a member of the Athens Pilot Club and the Order of Eastern Star. She was a member of the Salvation Army Church. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Bernstein Funeral Home Chapel with Brigadier Carl Hanson officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Agnew and Hilda Peacock, Athens; daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Bill Fuller, Tucker; brother, Jake Aaron, Athens; sisters, Evelyn Christopher and Eunice Baldwin, both of Athens; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a number of nieces and nephews.
