A native of Hart County, Mrs. Stowers was a daughter of the late Berry and Nancy Salder Mance, and was the widow of Lorenzo Stowers. She was a member of Cedar Spring Baptist Church where she served as president of the Missionary Society and secretary of the Mother Board. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cedar Spring Baptist Church with the Revs. R.L. Trammell and S.T. Grimes officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include eight daughters, Carrie L. Crump, Shirley Simpson and Juanita Brown, all of Hartwell, Jeanette Tyler, Silver Springs, Md., Alma Jean Boggs, Royston, Ollie Jordan, Anderson, S.C., Frances Stowers, Washington, D.C. and Freader L. Parker, Greenwood, S.C.; two sons, Lorenzo Stowers Jr. and Tommy Stowers, both of Hartwell; 26 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. A native of Macon, Mrs. Clark was a daughter of the late Charles Greenwood and Willie Lynch Little Sr., and was the widow of Hugh Dorsey Hopkins and Walter N. Clark Jr. Formerly of Washington, she was a retired payroll clerk at ALMAR Manufacturing Company, was the past treasurer of Wilkes County Association for Retarded Citizens, was an American Cancer Society volunteer and a Sunday school teacher at Washington First United Methodist Church. Services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Resthaven Cemetery, Washington, with the Rev. Charles Cook officiating. Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Hopkins Kelly, Acworth; two sons, Charles B. Hopkins, Marietta, and Hugh D. Hopkins, Alpharetta; a stepdaughter, Evelyn Clark Waters, Orangeburg, S.C.; two stepsons, Eugene Clark, Spartanburg, S.C., and David Clark, Washington; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
