A native of Clarke County, Ohio, Mrs. Withers was a daughter of the late Cary Eugene and Nora Smith Richmond. A former resident of Atlanta, she was a graduate of Atlanta's Girls High, attended a local business school and was employed there as secretary of Singer Sewing Machine Company. As a resident of Winder, she was employed with R&R Manufacturing Company in Auburn as secretary and vice president. She attended and was a choir member of First Presbyterian Church in Winder. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Presbyterian Church, Winder, with the Revs. Brock Burnett and Joe Conyers officiating. Survivors include her husband, Jean Davidson Withers; two daughters, Carolyn Withers Broxton and Angela Withers King; two sons, Paul Richmond Withers and John Edward Withers; and 10 grandchildren. He was a member of the Men's Sunday School Class and the Monday Morning Coffee Club, and he attended Liberty Hill Baptist Church. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Liberty Hill Baptist Church with the Revs. Ken Fennell and Richard Ivester officiating. She was a member of Mary Chapter Order of the Easter Star and was a Sunday School teacher for 40 years. She attended Habersham Baptist Church.
