A native of Stephens County, Mrs. Herron was a daughter of the late Green and Maude Isbell Rumsey, and was preceded in death by a son, Frederic Herron. She was a lifelong resident of Stephens County and was a homemaker. She was a member of Toms Creek Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and played piano. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Toms Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. V.A. Merck, Clavk Stubbs and Wayne Marcus officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include three daughters, Kathryn Rumsey, Lawrenceville, Patricia Henry, Social Circle, and Diana Griswold, Covington; a son, David Herron, Eastanollee; a sister, Josie LaBoone, Columbia, S.C.; a brother, Kilbern Rumsey, Eastanollee; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. A native of Somerville, Mass., Mr. VanAmberg was a son of the late Orlando Forman and Muriel Malone VanAmberg. He was a longtime resident of Arlington, Mass. and had resided in Stephens County for the last 16 years. He was a World War II Air Force veteran and was a retired machinist for Hewlett-Packard Company. He was a member of American Legion Post 104 and Central Alliance Church. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Toccoa First Alliance Church with the Rev. Richard Baker officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Toccoa City Cemetery. A native of McHenry, Illinois, Mr. Blake was the son of the late Mathias and Susan Blake. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and was a member of the Catholic Order of Forresters. He was a veteran of World War II serving as a seabee in the US Navy. Mr. Blake had lived in Watkinsville for the past 16 years. Survivors include his wife, Lorraine E. Blake, Watkinsville; sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis M. and Pam M. Blake, Watkinsville, and Kenneth E. and Ellen L. Blake, Cary, Illinois. He is also survived by three granddaughters, Katie B. Fricke, Jennie E. and Alyssa M. Blake; and a grandson, Matthew A. Blake. Services will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Victor Reios officiating. A native of Des Moines, Iowa, she had lived in Athens for many years, having received her college degree and MBA from the University of Georgia. Marcy was a devoted wife, daughter and friend as well as a real estate developer through her company, Habitat. She was active for close to 20 years in local, state and national associations of Realtors. She was serving a second term as chairperson of the Equal Opportunity Committee for the local Board of Realtors. She was active in many civic projects and the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Athens. In recent months she was organizing a project to build a ramp and walkway from Athens Heritage Home to Bishop Park so that the elderly could enjoy our beautiful park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Athens, 780 Timothy Road, Athens, Ga. 30605 to help create the Athens Heritage Park Walk. Her memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 6, at 1:00 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Athens. Daughter of the late Dr. Freemont ''Bud'' Shull, she is survived by her husband, P. Lott Browne; her mother, Dorothy Shull of Athens Heritage Home; her brother, Scott Shull of Watkinsville; two nephews, Adam and Nathan; her beloved Monroe and Wesley; and many friends.
