A native of Habersham County, Mrs. Burrell was a daughter of the late Connie Chester and Martha Brookshire LaPrade, and was the widow of Ralph Burrell. She was retired from Scovill Manufacturing with 30 years of service and was a member of the Ladies Farm Bureau, the AARP, the Clarkesville Lions Club and was a Red Cross Volunteer. She attended Level Grove Baptist Church. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. today at Whitfield Funeral Home, South, Baldwin, with the Revs. Terry Rice and Billy Burrell. Burial will be in Camp Creek Baptist Church cemetery. Survivors include two daughters, Judy Slaton, Baldwin, and Reba Tench, Demorest; a son, Jerry Burrell, Mt. A native of Rome and formerly of Nicholson, Mr. Moore was a son of the late Alvin and Rosa Anna Moore, and was the widower of Marquerite Lovett Moore. He was an accountant with Merita Baking Company, the Colonial Stores Bakery and Grand Union Stores. He was a World War II army veteran and was a member of the Church of Christ. Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with the Ministers James Nelson and Alvis Miller officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Gwinnett County. Survivors include a brother, Harold H. Moore, Rockmart; nieces and nephews. She was born August 13, 1918 in Bulloch County and was the daughter of the late William Sidney and Fannie Mae Trice Smith. Her brother, William Sidney Smith Jr. and a sister, Ann Elizabeth Smith, preceded her in death. Prior to moving to Athens she had lived in Jeffersonville, Georgia for 36 years and was very active in her church and community. She was a member of the Jeffersonville Baptist Church and the Alpha Gamma Delta Fraternity. Survivors include her daughter, Peggy Smith Gates, Athens; nieces, Frances Smith Deal, Statesboro, and Annette Whipple Ewing, Atlanta; nephews, William Sidney Smith III, Statesboro, and Robert Henry DeJarnette Jr., Vidalia; sisters-in-law, Edith Gates Smith, Statesboro, and Camella Gates Whipple, Vidalia; and several cousins. Graveside services will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. from the Jeffersonville City Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Georgia. Rev. Angus Hart will officiate.
