A lifelong resident of Habersham County, Mr. Frady was a son of the late Zeb Vance and Myrtle Garrett Frady. He was a science major at Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania and attended the University of Georgia vocational and technical education program. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II who served in the Pacific Theatre and was a veteran of the Korean War. He retired as a vocational technical instructor for the Georgia Department of Corrections, Alto, in 1988. He was a member and deacon of Clarkesville First Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday school. He was a member of Sons of Confederate Veterans and Currahee Rangers Chapter, Toccoa. He was a Civil War re-enactor and was a member of the Jasper Irish Greens. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Clarkesville First Baptist Church with the Revs. David Turner, Steve Dorran, Dr. Jimmy Jett, Albert Hudson and Dr. Walter Hudson officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Baptist Church cemetery with full military honors accorded by the U.S. Navy. She was a member of Cabin Creek Baptist Church, where she served as teacher, treasurer, director of Vacation Bible School, president of WMU and secretary-treasurer of the Perpetual Care Cemetery Fund. She taught school in the Jackson County School System for 47 years and retired 1972. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association, where she served as secretary and treasurer. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Honor Society for teachers and served as secretary-treasurer for a two-year term. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cabin Creek Baptist Church with the Rev.
