He had lived in Eastanollee for the past 40 years, and was a World War II army veteran and later served in the Air Force. He earned the Good Conduct Medal, the American Defense Medal, the World War II Victory Medal and the Bronze Arrowhead, among others. He was a member of Rock Creek Baptist Church and attended Carrolls Methodist Church. He married his beloved wife, Edith Grodsky, in 1941 and served in World War II from 1942 to 1945. He was in the grocery business in his early years and in real estate later. Mr. Sacks was a member of Congregation B'nai Torah, Atlanta, and was predeceased by a sister and brother, Clara Graber and Louis Sacks. He is survived by his wife, Edith Sacks, Atlanta; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Freddy Loef, Athens; daughters, Barbara Sacks and Ilene Sacks, both of Atlanta; and grandchildren, Julie and Eric Weiss, Amy Loef and Lauren Loef.
