A native of Greene County, Mrs. Rhodes was a daughter of the late Ira Otis Andrews and the late Lilla Elizabeth Hancock, and was the widow of Marvin H. Rhodes. She was a homemaker and a member of First Presbyterian Church. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church, Crawfordville, with the Revs. Reggie Hasslet and John Autry officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Crawfordville City Cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Joanne Rhodes Wiehelm, Crawfordville; a sister, Anna Marie Gay, Fayetteville; a grandchild; and two great-grandchildren. A native of Bessemer, Mich., Mr. Hill was a son of the late Eino Antila and Julia Sarri H. Antila. He was the superintendent of Cartersville City Board of Education and was curriculum director for Cartersville City Schools. He was a World War II veteran and member of the American Legion for 52 years. He was the principal of Cartersville High School and West Fannin High School, was the first coach at Oglethorpe County High School and was principal of the first Governor's Honors program. He attended Woodville Baptist Church. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Woodville Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Redman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Eudene C. Hill; two daughters, Paula H. Brock, Woodville, and Pam H. Smith, Athens; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was a 1960 graduate of Oconee County High School and was employed with Duck Head Apparel Company. Faye was a charter member of New Covenant Worship Center and was an avid gardener. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother and wife, a woman of great courage and a source of inspiration and faith to her family. Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 12, 2001 at 3:00 p.m. at New Covenant Worship Center with Rev. Howard Conine officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
