He was a retired tool and dye maker at Westinghouse and a World War II United States Navy veteran. He was a member of Georgia Cattlemen Association and Woodmen of the World. He was a member of East Athens Baptist Church where he was a Deacon and a member of Waymon Kelley Sunday School Class. Services will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Bernstein Funeral Home with the Rev. Mr. Bruce was born in Madison County, Ga., November 29, 1934, son of the late Charlie Seaborn Bruce and the late Ethel Sexton Bruce. Mr. Bruce was retired from Seaboard Farms, was retired Co-Owner of B&S Construction, and was a Cattle Farmer. He was a United States Army Veteran, and member of the Shiloh Baptist Church. Mr. Bruce was a former Chief of the Shiloh Volunteer Fire Department, was a member of the Royston Bass Club and the Rebel Bass Club in Danielsville, Ga. Survivors include his wife, Myriam Joan Smith Bruce; sons and daughter-in-law, Grant Lanier and Penelope Bruce, Elberton, and Craig Taylor Bruce, Danielsville; daughters, Susan Kay Bruce and Janna Starr Bruce, both of Danielsville; grandchildren, Taylor, Tessa, Chyenne and Blaze Bruce; and a sister, Jessie Mae Weaver, Braselton.
